TrustSwap 1 Year Decentraland Celebration Recap + Lottery winners

Last Friday, 9th of July 2021, TrustSwap celebrated its first anniversary by opening a virtual headquarters in Decentraland. One year after inception, there were plenty of reasons to celebrate, from starting the company with a single smart contract enabling affordable trustless escrow, to a developing a complete eco-system that secures more than one billion dollars worth of value in our SmartLocks contracts. TrustSwap became a trusted name in the world of DeFi, helping make the crypto space safer and more accessible for all. TrustSwap is well on its way to becoming a Top 50 DeFi project by the end of 2021.

Our virtual headquarters is located in Crypto Valley, Decentraland, next to such blockchain titans as Polygon and CoinGecko. The neighborhood looks stunning with many other beautiful buildings and a statue of a big whale, which pleased many of us who consider whales to be their spirit animals. The TrustSwap building features a huge video panel, an NFT gallery, and standees for each of our launchpad sponsors.

Our guests arrived in all shapes and hues — we saw some fantastic-looking avatars and had no clue that skeletons with huge trumpets on their heads can look that awesome. The crypto community is indeed a creative bunch. In case you missed the visual feat, KevinOnEarth streamed the event on Twitch.

The event participants got tons of goodies including POAP badges for the first 1,000 claimers. All visitors could grab one of the 5,000 TrustSwap caps and the TrustSwap hoodies airdropped (post-event) to the Top 500 SWAP stakers. There are also free airdrop lottery tickets from TrustSwap and our launchpad sponsor companies: Verso Finance, Tokenplace, Sekuritance, LedgerScore, and YIELD App.

This was our CEO Jeff Kirdeikis’ first appearance with his brand-new hairstyle and we think he looked dashing. He opened the event with a 15-minutes speech talking about TrustSwap’s progress over the past twelve months and about what the future holds.

Soon after, Ivan Anastassov, our COO as well as Ivan Reif, our CTO, took the floor talking about our upcoming launchpad and next deliverables on our product roadmap. You wouldn’t be surprised to learn that we will keep delivering strongly on our product roadmap — more use cases for SWAP, integrations with more chains, more features.

If you missed the event or just want to listen again, here it is:

In the building you probably saw them walking around in the hoodies: The TrustSwap team! Hopefully you got a chance to meet and have a chat. Did you know who was who?
We are grateful for each and everyone of our team members. They are the brains and the brawn behind TrustSwap! We couldn’t be more proud of this amazing team and what they have pulled together in the past 12 months. Hats off to them, and yes, …there was no shortage of hats.

The good amount of 963 visitors claimed our genesis POAP attendance badge during the event. And don’t worry, if you got an error message, you still got your POAP airdropped.

To visualize your POAP NFT badge:

  1. Visit
  2. Insert your Metamask public address you used to join Decentraland or connect the corresponding wallet.

Note: POAPs are on the xDAI chain but you can easily migrate them to the Ethereum blockchain. To do that simply click the Migrate POAP button, connect your Metamask wallet, sign the contract and pay the requisite gas fee to perform the transaction.

Congratulations to the winners!

Our launchpad partners were pretty generous with their token gifts, but there is one that didn’t want to be left out either. DCTDAO, a quantum-resistant cross-chain DEX is preparing a special giveaway for the anniversary event participants. The exact details will be announced in the next few days so make sure you stay tuned.

We had a great first year and hope we can welcome you and our future community again on 9th of July, 2022! We have built a solid foundation and are excited to see what the future brings…
